The Courtyard Suite
The Courtyard Suite is located on the ground floor, perfect for those who have trouble climbing stairs. The suite is comprised of the master bedroom and bath and the side courtyard. If you want room to spread out, the den can be booked as part of the suite. When booked, these room are locked off from the rest of the house & guest not only enter & exit thru the courtyard gate, but they have the private use of the courtyard during their stay.
The bedroom is painted a cool sky blue and the bathroom is a huge mosaic of marble & granite. The den is a warm cinnamon hue with an exposed brick fireplace and one exposed brick & post wall. The room is decorated in a New Orleans Jazz theme and the furnishings are contemporary & comfortable. There is a large flat screen tv in the den. Both the bedroom & the den have French doors that open onto the courtyard.
The courtyard has a bistro table for two and a dining table for four. It is also equipped with a large bar & four barstools. Orchids, bleeding heart vines night blooming jasmine and a small waterfall fountain complete the feel of serenity. Unfortunately, the winter freeze took a tole on the courtyard plantings but they are slowly coming back.
